Home to prehistoric rainforests and a melting pot of culture, Malaysia is an amazing country to discover. Join us on this fascinating journey to explore the most dynamic cities, Kuala Lumpur, Cameron Highlands, Pearl of the Orient – Penang, Kota Bahru, Terengganu, Kuantan, Kuching, Mulu, Miri, Brunei, Kota Kinabalu, Sukau and Sandakan.

Depart from Kuala Lumpur to Cameron Highland, which is  located at 1542 meters above sea level and noted for its tea plantations and cool temperatures. Visit the cottage industry of basket weaving at work followed by Lata Iskandar Waterfall and a native settlement. Tour of Cameron Highlands consists of the tea plantation, tea factory, marketplace and butterfly farm. Overnight Strawberry Park Hotel.

Early morning set off to Penang, visit the Sam Poh Tong cave temple, stop at the Royal town of Kuala Kangsar for a spell of photographing of the exterior view only of Ubudiah Mosque, Iskandariah Palace, and Istana Kenangan. Continue to Kuala Sepetang mangrove forest, the best-managed mangrove forest in Malaysia, and visit a charcoal kiln where quality charcoals are produced. Cross over to Penang, better known as the “Pearl of the Orient” via one of the longest bridge in the world. Overnight Bayview Beach Resort.

Depart from hotel for a city tour of Georgetown, which has been official declared as a UNESCO SITE in 2008. Visit the 3rd longest reclining Buddha figure in the world, Kek Lok Si Temple that was built in 1904, Fort Cornwallis, the water village of The Clan Jetties at Weld Quay, exploring the other part of the Old Georgetown by a drive along Pitt Street, also known as “The Street of Harmony” and Khoo Kong Si clan’s house. Enjoy a breezy trishaw ride which is still a popular mode of transport in Georgetown. The rest of the day is at your own leisure.

Traveling from west to east overland across Peninsular Malaysia through the main mountain range, which offers breathtaking views of the dense tropical rain forest whilst journeying through villages and plantations, make a photo stop on Banding Island with its scenic view of the famous Temenggor Lake. Further on, stop at the highest mountain point on this route, 1050 meters above sea level overlooking the Thailand and Malaysian border which offer breathtaking views. Arrive Kelantan, proceed to the border town of Rantau Panjang, a meeting, mingling and trading point for people of Thailand and Malaysia. Overnight Renaissance Kota Bahru

We start the day with a visit to the famous colorful wet market of Kota Baru and the traditional cottage industries such as silver handicraft and songket weaving. Drive along the scenic coastline southward towards Kuala Terengganu, taste some popular local chips called keropok. Check in at the beach hotel and the rest of the day is free at your own leisure. After breakfast, depart hotel heading towards Kuantan. Stop in Kuala Terengganu to visit Pulau Duyong, the Islamic Civilization Park at the Waterfront Heritage City of Kuala Terengganu, the Grand Crystal Mosque, brassware-making centre, stop at a scenic coastal fishing village and visit a turtle information Centre where you can learn more about this endangered species of the sea. On route, taste the “lemang” rice which was cooked with coconut milk in a bamboo stick. This is followed by afternoon tea hosted by the local community, after which the tour takes you to Cherating. Cherating’s main attractions include trained monkey plucking coconuts and visiting the cottage industry of mengkuang leaves being weaved into bags and mats amongst other things. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Kuching. Arrival transfer to the hotel

This city tour will take visitors past the main attractions such as the Chinatown, Cat monument, City Tower for a bird’s eye view of Kuching city, the Malay Houses on stilts, Old State Mosque, Main Bazaar, India Street, Gambier Road, Wet Market, Colonial Centre, Textile Museum, Chinese Museum, Sarawak Museum, Kuching Waterfront to view the ultramodern State Legislative Assembly building, alongside the historical Astana and Fort Margherita.

Depart from Kuching for a 4 hours’ drive through the scenic greenery of rainforest, fields of pepper and rubber. Visit the local market at Serian, drive to the Lemanak River where a traditional longboat takes you upriver under the rainforest canopy to the longhouse and pay a courtesy visit to the headman of the longhouse. Explore the surrounding forest and visit pepper garden. In the evening a traditional style dinner sitting on floormat will be served followed by a night of ceremonial dances and merry-making. Overnight in the longhouse.

After breakfast, participate in the blow pipe demonstration followed by a guided nature walk with the opportunity to learn about some medicinal plants, edible fruits, and leaves, the agricultural activities of the community and some game traps used in the past for trapping animals. We will stop along the riverbank for a backwoods style picnic lunch with our foods cooked in bamboo. After lunch, depart by longboat down the river and continue overland for your return journey to Kuching. Arrive Kuching in the late afternoon. Overnight at hotel.

Transfer to airport for flight to Mulu with a short transit in Miri. Meet at Mulu Airport and transfer to resort (or Park Chalet) for check- in. After lunch, trek 45 minutes on raised plank walk through lowland rainforest and peat swamp to Skywalk Canopy and Lang Caves. Walk inside the largest cave passage of Deer Caves. Witness the daily exodus of millions of bats at the Observatory at sunset before we return. Overnight at hotel or chalet.

We will take 45 minutes ride by longboat up Melinau River to explore Wind Caves. Visit Clearwater caves to see the subterranean river passage which at 100 km, is the longest cave system in South East Asia. Lunch at nearby Clearwater River and swim in the crystal clear water before we return.

Fly back to Miri and then transfer overland to Brunei. Overnight at Bandar Seri Begawan.rn.

This 4 hours’ city tour includes a photo stop outside the Royal Palace, Istana Nurul Iman “Palace of Light “, which is the biggest residential palace in the world. Also visit the most magnificently built, “The Jame ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque” before we take a boat ride through the famous Water Village with a chance to stop off and walk around. Then, we move on to the Brunei Museum before heading back to your hotel.

Transfer to airport for a 25 minutes morning flight from Brunei to Kota Kinabalu and transfer to hotel. We will pick you up from your hotel in the afternoon for a brief sunset tour covering Signal Hill overlooking the city centre and the offshore islands and Tanjung Aru beach. Visit the night market to bargain for the wide array of local spices, souvenirs, fruits and vegetables. Proceed to a restaurant for dinner before we return to your hotel. Note: Due to access limitation, the visit to Signal Hill is only accessible by 8 seater van and not feasible for a group of 8 persons and above.

Transfer to Kinabalu Park. Visit the Education Centre and Mountain Garden and then to Poring Hot Springs for treetop canopy walk. Return to Kota Kinabalu. Overnight at hotel.

Morning flight to Sandakan. Arrive Sandakan, transfer to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. Watch the orangutan up close in their natural habitat, feeding show, and a short rehabiliatation process video. After lunch, transfer to Sandakan jetty for 2.5 hours boat journey to the multi awards winning Sukau Rainforest Lodge with the opportunity to view birds and wildlife in virgin mangrove, wetland and rainforest habitats. Later, take a river cruise using an electric motor in search of some of the 10 primate species. Return for a solar heated hot shower, candle light dinner overlooking the riverbank followed by a a slideshow and interpretation by a naturalist guide. Overnight at the newly renovated Sukau Rainforest Lodge, named by National Geographic Adventure magazine in 2009 as one of the top 50 jungle lodges in the world.

Wake up to the calls of gibbons and hornbills and hot Sabah tea. A 0600hrs morning river cruise up the Kinabatangan River to Kelenanap oxbow lake to view more birds and wildlife. After breakfast, proceed for an educational tour on the own in-house Hornbill Boardwalk located behind the lodge with our in-house naturalist. In the afternoon, we proceed for another river cruise for more wildlife. Overnight at Sukau Rainforest Lodge.

After breakfast, return to Sandakan by boat journey. After lunch, transfer to airport. For those on a late evening flight, we have a chance to visit Sandakan War Memorial and proceed to Rainforest Discovery Centre. Take a bird view of the centre from the canopy walk and hanging bridge before exploring the botanical garden, home to various species of flora. Transfer to Sandakan Airport. Arrive Kota Kinabalu, meet and transfer to hotel.

Pick up from hotel and transfer to the airport for departure.
