Not Just an Ordinary Train Trip

Traveling by train is often underrated, especially in North America. There are many reasons for choosing train travel. Trains go through many landscapes and they cannot be seen way up high when flying. Train stations are located in city centres, conveniently connecting with other modes of transportation, such as buses, subway, ferries etc., making the journey more enjoyable and creating more variety. It is definitely more comfortable and relaxing, as train travelers can avoid the hustles and bustles of airport check-in line ups, security, early arrival time and locating their departure gates in large terminals. While traveling, the passengers relax, work or connect with WIFI, socialize and mingle. In fact, it is suited to be a wonderful multi-generation vacation, and spending quality time together.
When checking off destinations in one’s bucket list, consider adding rail travel as part of the Journey. In North America, we have choices of the luxurious Rocky Mountaineer, Via Rail in Canada or Amtrak in US, right in our own back yard. For example, to see the beauty of the Alaskan landscapes, why not take the luxurious Rocky Mountaineer, either single or circle loop to see the magnificent Rockies. Then embark a cruise ship in Vancouver to Alaska and complete the vacation with a land tour. You will be in awe with some of the natural beauties of North America has to offer.
